I decided to take a break from digital mediums and made this guy after reorganizing my drawers and finding some coin clips. The experience was a refereshing break from 3D and Photoshop.
Went for a minimalist style. I traced a floppydisk to make sure everything was accurate. I rendered a verison without the shadow on the ground but I like the shadowed one much better. Corona renderer. During editing the photo reminded me of red, blue, and yellow Pokemon versions :]
I'll be honest and say that I'm not happy with this one. It seems boring, even after I added the texture. I learned that if I'm not happy with the initial concept it's probably not going to work out.
Raw render. Original size: 6000x6000
I learned that by using different masks I can easily create details in Photoshop through layer blends and shadows.
This is some sort of hybrid chair where I took diffrent characteristics from other chairs and smashed them into this one. I just like the minimalist modern sheet look. Mostly a test for lighting.
I'm really happy with the colours on this one. Had some trouble getting splines to link up but I'm happy how it turned out.
This is one of those renders that takes less than 30 minutes to make and turns out looking great. Just a flat plane, a single light, and a displacement map that blended two images in Photoshop.
